INSECT TASTINGS


These events are inspired by the world's most plentiful source of protein:  insects.  As the quest for sustainable food sources continues, insects emerge as top contenders.  They leave cows, sheep, chicken, pigs and fish far behind.  Not only are they delicious and nutritious, they are easier to raise, require little space, and are highly efficient at converting their feed into protein.  Eighty percent of the world already eats insects as a part of their diet.  It's the West that has some catching up to do on this yummy cuisine.  Check out these books for in depth reading on Entomaphagy, also known as the practice of eating insects:
